Can anyone recommend a shoulder mount, tripod and matte box for the Scarlet? Thx

Vincent,

Your best bet is looking through the board. There are several threads in regards to rigs going. Edelkrone seems to be having killer deals at the time being. Tripod is totally based upon how much weight you intend on needing to support. I went with a low profile Bogen for shooting due to the size, but my Scarlet is relatively compact in most cases. Matte box is something i'm not to sure about. I've looked at the Genus 4x4, and there Pro matte box but decided to hold off for the time being as I'm having a hard time deciding where the best value for me is at. I'm sure you can find recommendations around here or in Epic threads as well.

Vincent,

Jeff is right. There is a lot of information regarding accessories with the Scarlet on the forums.

Your question is a bit vague as well. I think a key component when inquiring about accessories for any camera is to disclose your budget. Matteboxes start from $20 to several thousands of dollars.

Another important factor I also find is the type of shooting you'll be doing. Shooting in a room compared to shooting on a mountain.

Good thought. I was coming back to post the budget factor. I'm in your shoes vincent, other than a tripod I'm in the learning stages of trying to figure out what I want to use to build up around my camera. My first attack is a Mattebox or ND filters, since I've liked literally nothing I've shot in the daylight thus far.

thank you all for the input. as for weight, heavy enough to supports 2 scarlets and prime lenses for 3D. for matte box price range, not afraid to spend a grand if it is worth it. for shooting locations, something that is pretty versitile but if you would recommend 2 different for different locations please feel free. thanks again!
