Scarlet 8X...

Finally I want to exchange my existing HD DSLR 7D with Scarlet S35 or Scarlet 8X and with that kit to have the

similar mount set up like at the pictures below but much better movie quality than the video example that linked below at the next post:

I want to get Scarlet for the next summer or even much earlier...:auto::hurray:

Lol

AC just have to sit on the right and with his/her hand can hold the camera to take care in the case that something get wrong.

Also the Cullmann DSLR mount is pretty strong and stabile during a normal speed car drive.

Also you can connect HDMI monitor to monitor the shooting from inside of the car.

The video test is uploading right now.

Stay tuned.

Finally uploading of the file is finished now from the island to Vimeo cross continent server.

Again I wish I could make this test drive on Scarlet S35 or Scarlet 8X and for sure will do it the next summer here in Eivissa - Ibiza:

Exciting times are coming with Scarlet 8X that is called a little dog...

Yesterday I was talking with the official photographer at one of the famous beach clubs here in Eivissa - Ibiza

"La Plage" (Leo DiCaprio's favorite beach club in Eivissa - Ibiza)

and this "La Plage" photographer told me that he is also waiting for Scarlet to exchange his 7D.

Next summer every club photographer here in Eivissa - Ibiza will have one Scarlet for his/her work on daylight or night club photo and movie shooting.

Sorry to bother some of "picky" DPs here but have to invite you all again to watch some of amazing shots from yesterday at "La Plage" Beach Cluba at Playa d'en Bossa, Eivissa - Ibiza.

Great work there Sanjin. But why is always the ugly birds who get up and dance?

Liam,

Benirrás Beach, Ibiza Drum & Dance Party is a place for kind of dance and drumming therapy and that's exactly how it happened that there always you can find some of those...

But a place for beauties here is made by the club professionals and then there you can find a lot of gorgeous girls...like at

"La Plage" Beach Club at Playa d'en Bossa, Eivissa - Ibiza >>>>

In the night-clubing situations you can sometimes "loose" your eyes and even your head about a huge number of sexy girls from all origins, races and "ages"...

But there is enough place for everybody here in Ibiza...

Very interesting place for a sort of research of social behavior at summer...

Waiting for Scarlet 8X...

Yeah thanks a lot for the picture !

a 7D, 5D Mark II and about 7 000 USD worth of Canon L lenses later, and I'm still eagerly awaiting for the Scarlet S35. Jim, Jarred, all the Red Team, thanks for keeping the Scarlet dream alive for us. I was afraid that the Scarlet line would be cancelled in favor of the Epics, but am really happy to see its still alive.

Of course I would love to be an Epic owner, but the budget is just too much for an indie over this side of the planet. I know I want a SCarlet S35 WITH redrocket, CF module XLR module, Canon Mount as well as a Red Zoom Lens. This is going to take me well above 10k. A similar Epic setup would simply be impossible for me to afford (or would take me years of financing and struggle...)

I have to admit I'm more than a little baffled by your setup. First of all, the side mirror is by no means a solid mounting surface. The glass of the mirror will wiggle a fair bit, and the mirror enclosure isn't especially stiff, either. The sample footage shows an awful lot of unpleasant shaking (additional bouncing beyond what is necessary given the road surface).

Moreover, the bolts and actuators that hold the glass in place are not meant to hold anywhere near that amount of weight... they tend to be very weak in most cars. While the suction cup is plenty strong, the mirror itself could easily pull out of the enclosure.

Is there any particular reason you decided to mount a rather expensive camera to one of the flimsiest parts of the car? If you're going for that specific angle, why not mount it to the door just below the window?

That was a very fast improvised 7D on the car mounting test that was for me also successful in some points.

Off course that I could fix the camera much better in other different places and positions on the car but that was not a purpose of the test...
