  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Scarlet #81 1600 ISO Test

I agree, I was just saying if it was completely noiseless at say 6400 ISO, it would be revolutionary.

Michael, the images are beautiful. It would've been cool to ramp up the ISO starting at a low setting and going up.

Your posts are always appreciated btw

Thanks a good idea Roshdi.

I will do that later on today.

Had a day to do a little testing of a camera that is about to be released whose same sounds like "sea three hundred". Now THAT is one amazing camera in low light. If you vimeo search my name you'll see the tests. The directors commentary has before/after and a 20,000 ISO shot.

The C300, from what I can tell, does do very well in low light.

The 20,000 ISO is impressive, but I would have loved to see it done in a darker area, so we could see how the blacks react to the ISO Sensitivity.

Is it possible to even find a dark area at ISO 20,000? LOL

Fixed pattern noise means noise that is in a pattern that doesn't change over time. You can't tell fpn on a still, as by definition there is no time.

Is the Leo Cigar lighting on vimeo or somewhere? I can't find it with a search (really, I should have had it bookmarked).

Is there an ETA on the .r3d Mike? As always, I'm over-caffeinated and hence anxious.

Thanks for the R3D ! Good scene, very nicely done !

Unfortunately on this PNG screen capture, noise is there...a colored/video noise. :(

We didn't do a black shading.

We probably should have, looking back on it.

looking great, by the way, and thanks for sharing. For those of us waiting, it gives us something to work with and time to get used to Scarlet taste.
