A fun "unboxing" video is in the works, so for now, just a quick photo. We were SO#1687 ordered November 4th in the early morning with a Canon AL mount. We have received everything with the exception of the side handles and second brain ordered in December. Thanks to McClain and the team for keeping their noses to the grind stone on the Back Orders!

We have owned a number of very cool cameras over the years, but I have to admit, I smiled like a little kid with this one. Keep the faith, things seem to be on a roll at Red!!!
Cheers,

Congratulations Carelton!

Congratulations on the camera. I'm only 3000 orders away.

Congratulations also on successfully getting specific information about supply and fulfillment rates from your rep as the statements I quoted below indicate! I told my rep I expected my camera late this year, early next and she didn't correct me. Either my guess is accurate, optimistic or she won't say. How did you get your rep to say?

Hey Arnold,
I really did not get any indication from Red or my rep about fulfillment time or dates. My comment was a general compliment to the Red team for continuing to work hard under pressure. I know when we are overbooked with business (something that is going on now at our company), it can be stressful with everyone asking the same question: "When is our project going to be complete?"

On a positive note, your order number may be 3000 away, but the majority of those numbers are probably follow up accessory orders. We placed three individual orders for accessories after our initial order as a result of spending a little time figuring out what additional items we would need. All three of those additional orders have been completely fulfilled, so that is at the very least "three down" between our Scarlet order and yours.

I have another Scarlet order #57961 (6000 away from our original order) that I realistically expect will only takes a couple of months to arrive based on increased production and shipping, as well as the fact that many of the order numbers between the two are accessories; many of which have already been fulfilled based on comments I see on other posts. Keep the faith, it felt like a long time for ours to arrive, but quite exciting when it does!!!
Congratulations on the camera. I'm only 3000 orders away.

Congratulation! I see that you're using wooden camera's side cheese handle, how do you like it?

Hey Keith,
We really like it. We purchased a number of items from them, all of which are very robust and well made! We used the Easy Riser on the bottom and the easy plate on top which allowed us to mount a LW15 Top rail mount and the side handle. This setup allowed us to use a neat little sliding handle we already had on the top rails which slides front to rear to balance the load. Having the combination of side and top handle is really nice. This little bugger is pretty beefy and it helps to have a couple of secure places to hold it. We have been on Sony EX1s and Canon 5Ds (and similar smaller form factor cameras) so long, that I forgot how heavy our old ENG style cameras were. The Scarlet with a real battery and all the goodies (as pictured) weighs in at about 15 1/2 lbs. Gonna need to eat my Wheaties LOL!!!

The rear AB battery mounting stuff is from them as well. The only beef with that is a rather lengthy cord, which is no big deal, I just like really clean setups.
