Hi, it´s a bit late, but since I picked up Scarlet #757 Napoli ( SO51617) the 7th of February she was out of the box with me shooting a Landart project (Without having time to read the manual before). "Napoli" was running for several hours a day in rather harsh conditions. We had between -16° to -33° C. Shooting temperature were around -16° to -24° and everything worked flawless. I could operate the touchscreen without problems under those conditions. Only the "menu change button" in the right upper corner was sometimes difficult to activate. Warming the fingers helped for the responding.
Let me say you one thing: I´m blown away by this little cam!!! Just scratching at the surface of all the possibilities is already a ride in heaven. The Canon AL mount is amazing, just such a big step to be able to use Canon mount lenses with the whole lens control.
I add a still from the very first shot with ScarletX. Just some curve adjustments.
A huge big monster Yeti Thank you to Jim and the whole Red Team for this incredible cam!!! You just shot me to the cinematographers and photographers heaven. :Angel_anim:
I´m in love.
Marc

Thanks Peter!
The whole project was great. This is just a quick and dirty frame grab from the very first shot with Scarlet. Once I have edited the video I will post it through vimeo.
Below 30° was really a challenge. Especially the setup through the touchscreen with bare fingers.
Cheers
Marc

It´s not the final, so it is still password protected. Edited RCX/ Prores/FCPX/ DAVINCI. I actually wanted to cut it in CS5.5, but I could not, because I was shooting 4K HD and CS5.5 with RR did not accept it. Only 4K is accelerated by RedRocket (here).
It was literally a out of the box shoot. No time for black shading, no time to study the manual. But his is RED, it just works. Shot with Canon 16-35mm and 70-200mm.
This little sketch is mainly to raise some sponsorship funds for next year.
Enjoy,
Thank you for watching.
