  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Scarlet 5k Look Around recorded into HyperDeck?

These are the two types of cables you need. One connects to a BNC, the other one connects directly to a plug. so depending on where the Shuttle is, you may need one or the other, secure yourself and get them both. Note, the right angle cables on the DIN side are preferred. I have the straight ones and regret it a lot. These cables are the same than the one on a RED One for "mini-SDI".

Also I have not found a way to play back files with the HDS that was not recorded on it. That is not mentioned on the BMG site and to me was very disappointing.
I was hopping to be able to use it as playback device of edits in ProRes for presentation.

James I was able to drop in a prores file I created in premiere and avid and present it through Hdmi out if that's what you're referring to. The only problem is with the sound. It will not play audio straight from premiere or avid export. I've been able to pass the file through Episode Pro and set the audio to direct out sound and it should play fine.

Thanks for that tip stu. I'll be able to check it out tomorrow

I have not been able to crete any movie file that I can put on the SSD and play with the shuttle!
I tried ProRes 422, same name convection as captured files. Tried uncompressed rendering with BM codec. No luck.
If anyone had success with this, I would appreciate hear about it.

Aslo After Effects CS5 is giving me an error loading the files, its fine with CS6 and FCP 7.
