Scarlet 4k Macro - 16mm C-Mount Kern lenses

Just playing around with some Kern C-Mount lenses on a Scarlet at 4K, with a $6 C-Mount to EF mount adaptor from china. The adaptor is manufactured so that the 'normal focus lengths' cant be achieved but it makes almost every lens capable of some pretty impressive macro work.

From what I saw, this combo rivals some macro lenses that cost over $10,000 when it comes to doing just macro work. Though id love to hear some other thoughts on this.

would adjusting the flange distance be worth it for increasing the range towards normal distances on these lenses?
