  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

As it states my camera was stolen and I am selling all of my remaining gear. Please be on the lookout got Scarlet #01624!!! In the meantime I'm looking to sell my remaining gear which includes. Sorry to hear "X-Caliber" was stolen! Hope RED finds the culprits if it ever needs repair.

BUYERS BEWARE!!

Ryan, I paid for a 4 bank kino and arranged pick up from Rick in Las Vegas where he resides. I was in Las Vegas at the time for my grandmothers funeral so picking up the Kino's would save me on shipping. When my wife and I arrived at his house at the agreed time 10:30 on 1/11 he was no where to be found, Rick also didn't mention that he lived in a gated community that I could not access. The Gard at the gate called the residents several times and received no answer. I waited for sometime trying to reach the seller but I had to leave in order to attend the funeral. Later that day I received a text from Rick saying he was out golfing and that his phone was way deep in his golf bag so he didn't receive my text!! Rick informed me that he was home at that I could come by to pick up the 4 bank kino that I purchased. Once again when I arrived at Ricks residents he was no where to be found. The gard at the gate tried several times but received no answer. I contacted Rick via text and asked him to refund my money for the purchase which he agreed. As of today 1/17 I have not received my refund. I have filed a dispute with Paypal, as well as with the Las Vegas Police Dept, so I suggest you do the same + report him to RU.

It would seem That Rick is a scam artist. Spread the word!

I am having a very similar experience with Rick. I bought some gear from him 10 days ago. Long story short at first he gave me someone else tracking. Claimed it was a mistake and would send my tracking to me that night. Days later and no word from him I said I was filing a dispute. Suddenly he finally shipped it and provided tracking. I thought the package count and weight seemed off. He said there were more boxes but he had lost the tracking. I thought I was screwed. Today some of the gear showed up. Still missing some. Went to email him and his email is not working anymore. I am dealing with paypal now for the missing gear.

what condition are the kinos in? How much would you want for them?

You have been issued a refund and should the LOW COMBO STAND be delivered today or tomorrow, PLEASE PAY FOR IT...

In ALL, NONE of you gentlemen seem to have a real issue other than JOSH who, may or may have recieved this LOW COMBO STAND by the end of this VERY UNNECESSARY response. I shipped over 12 items to people, including an $8,000.00 Bank Transfer transaction in Zeiss Lenses to another REDUSER. No Complaints!!! So why would I SCAM either of you guys.

For whatever it's worth, Rick appears to have had his Scarlet stolen recently, and I imagine his world feels upside down. Not saying it's an excuse for any communication or shipping issues he's had, but I know it would certainly paralyze me. Hopefully everyone's transactions proceed smoothly and the dust can settle.

Thanks Nick, I've been literally FROZEN, but NEVER would I attempt to SCAM or Take ADVANTAGE of anyone as a result of my misfortune.
 
Rick if your a scammer you are terrible at it. He did ship me most of the gear and it is possible that the other package is behind. The transaction has been a pain but I do understand that a theft can really mess up your month. Especially if you have jobs pending to shoot. The problem Rick is you were not very honest with me. You gave me tracking info 3-4 days before you actually shipped me my gear. So you knew it was a lie. You should have just told me you hadn't been able to ship it. So you say my last package is on its way but you still haven't sent me tracking. And as of right this second there are no refunds to my paypal account. Which I dont want by the way. Just want tracking.

I think you may have gotten in over your head with trying to move all this gear on top of the theft and work. But you did take peoples money and you need to follow through with getting them their gear. When I paid the understanding we had was you would ship it so I would have it in time for a job I had this week. I ended up having to rent all the gear I bought from you. Not a huge expense just annoying. So when it did finally show up today and it was incomplete you can imagine I was upset.

I hope everything gets sorted out for you and everyone and we can all go back to making bad ass movie magic!
 
Yes I did get the Dana Dolly.
It is missing 2 items that come in the package that was promised (link to a pic off filmtools), but they are low cost items so no biggie.
i just think communication was/is off and that had me initially and others worried.
I understand the strain and anger if theft and loss, as one of my Epics was underwater last week after frozen pipes burst. I just think if you are selling and you state a ship date you should live up to it and if you can't let buyers know.
