SCAM: Red Rocket Card

[Lindsay Mann]

I've been contacted a few times by various email addresses all trying to sell me the same Red Rocket Card for around $2400. Just posting this so no one gets duped. Here is the email:

"Hello Julian, [not my name, good start a-holes]
I saw that you're interested in red rocket card.
I can offer you mine with 30 days return warranty for $2400 shipped to your location.

Regards,
Alla

P.S. I'm also selling two 256gb redmags if you're interested.

And here are the pictures they're using:

[Tommaso Alvisi]

yeah, they tried with me too...

[Jason Goodman]

me too, had scam written all over it

Based on the advertising for clothing store underneath the message, it's coming from Ukraine. Not that it really matters where it's coming from, but many scams, like this originate in Eastern Europe.

[Jason Goodman]

something about the inclusion of the terminal screen shot made me think it was bogus. Here's a good idea for anyone contemplating buying anything. If you feel there are any red flags at all, ask the seller to take a picture of the item with a phone or newspaper showing the current date to prove that they have the item in their possession and aren't just using a downloaded image. Another good thing to check is how many posts they've made to the board and how long they've been on here. Some guy with 3 posts wanted to sell me something and I steered clear.

This is still going on, just got the same email overnight. Be aware folks.

[Joshua D. Lassing]

Yep... I was sent one as well. hahahaha, but I'm not surprised since I've actually fallen for two these scams. (once on ebay, and once in person)
