My worst fear has happened on here!
I was on the lookout for some new parts for my Scarlet-W in which "Jeffery Bardt" sent me an email with photos of a carbon fiber RED 7.0" touch on a helium. Here's his first email:
"I am located in Orlando, Florida. The LCD screen has been protected by an "Anker Matte Highly-Transparent Anti-Glare Anti-Fingerprint Screen Protector" since day one. Thus, the LCD surface is scratch free.
My cell is 321-430-0291 "
The number does not work and I've tried people searching all over google. He seemed well versed with REDs & Film equipment. What a mistake on my end not face timing or taking way more precaution.
Here's his email on payment:
"Hey Alex,
That's great! I tried charging you on Venmo but it's not letting me send you a request. So my roommate will charge you on his account.
Thanks for the info! Do you prefer UPS, FedEx, or USPS?"
- The roomates name was Lenard Chisholm
This only happened a few days ago so if anyone has any more information on this guy just let me know!
My email is alex.ams.smith@gmail.com
Also any tips on how to handle this would be great! Just filed a report with Venmo & about to call the bank / police to file a report.
Thanks!
When this all gets figured out I'll still be on the look out for a 7.0" after a couple more shoots now. Very bumed out since I finally just made the step to become an owner / operator & dumped everything I had into this.
