  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Say " Goodbye " Full HD ( Samsung UltraHD work on Mac - confirmed )

Any update on the LG 31UM95 4K monitor?
It was supposed to be released in June?

Word is that it's been delayed and HDMI 2.0 will be included. I don't have official confirmation of this. I'm hoping that's true as many of us here will probably pass on it and wait for the updated model that has it. Just sayin'

I was told about the LG 31UM95 4K monitor today: Shipping in August, $2500. I'm trying to get a demo unit, but so far it seems those are only circulating amongst LG OEM reps and mostly overseas.

Is there any point at all in one of the 24" UHD monitors for inspecting 4K playback? I feel like they might be too small to see extra detail when compared to a larger QHD monitor.

I don't feel like spending $2.5K, and I'm not hearing such good things about the contrast & color on the non-IPS/TN 28" displays.

What is the color accuracy/performance of the samsung in the OP?
Im choosing a new monitor mostly for editing/viewing and GUI but also for lightweight grading for smaller and/or personal projects that don't have the budget for a post-house. I'm considering this samsung vs. the 24" HP dreamcolor z24x, as they are both the same price. But I doubt the samsung performs as well as the HP as far as color accuracy goes.

Not a word. I'm starting to think the 31UM95 isn't going to happen.... :(

There's a 32" OLED 4k 10bit display coming from LG before 2015.

Not a word. I'm starting to think the 31UM95 isn't going to happen.... :(

Really?… That would be really unfortunate!
Seemed like a perfect 4K monitor...

Any update on the 31UM95 4K monitor in the meantime?
It would be a shame not to happen.
