Every time I upgrade my Firmware, I loose some or many of my presets.
Is there a clear tutorial how to save all preset settings without loosing some when you restore?
A Video would be most ideal.

Thank you.

I always try to follow the instructions or RTFM and still somehow always manage to wipe out all my settings....

Exactly the same happen to me too. And i think, there are more on the list. Since this Firmware upgrade happen (luckily quite) frequent, it would be very nice, if somebody could post a clear instruction how to NOT loose any settings while upgrading.
Since the overlays are differently saved then the settings, I think it is quite easy to loose the one or the other.

Like Terry has already mentioned, the instructions to save all your settings are included with the firmware upgrade instructions.

Let's post them here.

INSERT AN SSD CARD
FORMAT THE CARD
GO TO CMAERA PRESETS
HIT THE RIGHT ARROW and that saves them all to the SSD card
EJECT THE CARD
LOAD THE CARD ON THE COMPUTER
LOAD THE UPGRADE FW
PERFORM THE UPGRADE
Take out the card after power down
RESTART THE CAMERA
INSERT THE SSD
HIT THE LEFT ARROW to reload all the presets.

You must also do this for the custom overlays you have created.

One reason I like to just refer to the upgrade instructions is because they will still be accurate in the future, who knows if this will be.

I have a preset which loads all other camera settings; so it only takes a few seconds to turn the Epic back to 'my setup' after a firmware upgrade.
Really powerful tools, kudos to Red for them

well good thing i just got a chance to try this withe the new firmware today....
i guess the key is to actually create a preset before saving it....then it works like a charm...
