Sata error during playback!

I had encountered this problem a few time over the last year, but recently it seems to be getting progressively more frequent, and now I'm in the middle of a shoot and today I couldn't playback a single clip all day.

I'm on build 21.4.1

Any help would be GREATLY appreciated!

Love to know the outcome for this fault. I've worked on several different cameras over the last 6 months and all of them have been doing this. Some more than others.
We found if we cleaned the drives through disk utility it seems to go away for a while.
Formatting does not solve it. So that's why we went into really cleaning the drives.
Not sure if this is the real solution. But it seems to work for a little while.

If this is the SATA_TRANS_ERROR, then it effects every 320GB drive I have seen and some 640GB drive. I refuse to use drives that have not been sent back to Red to be fixed. This error is a HUGE nightmare on set.

I can also be caused by un-upgraded cables, and in some instances by the camera itself. Best thing to do is send a LOG file to RED and they can give you a better idea of what's going on.

In build 30.4.1 I did see some instances of getting a Sata_Trans_Error only in high speed playback and only when fast-forwarding, but I believe that was camera related, not build related.

It's because, all due respect, there's a lot of owners (rental houses included) out here that just don't take care of this kind of stuff. I've lost count of how many times I've had to tell people it's only repairable by a trip back to HQ. Doesn't seem to make a difference. Same with failing battery plates, but that's a different kettle of fish.
