Hi!

I recently worked on a motion gig that for the first time, decided to leave the 1d at home and make a conscience effort to pull stills from my 5k motion material. I hadn't ever actively decided to do this, and would normally be lugging both the Epic and 1d around. Providing the stills from the 1d, and the motion material from the Epic.

This was another fashion runway show, and I was getting bored of shooting the action from the end of the runway, and decided to try something different. I'm quite happy with the results, and wanted to share!

thanks!
Colin

AMAZING!!

Love the frames Colin :)

Hi Collin can you tell us what your camera setup was ? Shutter FPS .
The shots where great

Hi Simon, most everything was shot at 5K WS @ 120 fps with a project frame rate of 23.976. A 14mm 2.8, a 45mm tilt shift, and a 16-35mm 2.8 lens were used. ISO set at 800.

Cant wait to see the videos for this :)

Big thanks to Gunleik Groven, for the inspiration from his thread "Shut up and shoot that RED"

Colin how about BTS of this shoot :)

Give some love to your fellow neighbor ;)

Always 180 so mostly 1/240

Best part of shooting 120FPS, is it's 20% speed adjustment and "reel smart motion blur" and it looks like it was shot at 24FPS with a 180 degree shutter.

Would still love the specs on the frames.

Hi Eric, I thought I posted this already but, most everything was shot at 5K WS @ 120 fps with a project frame rate of 23.976. A 14mm 2.8, a 45mm tilt shift, and a 16-35mm 2.8 lens were used. ISO set at 800. I used a 180 degree shutter set to relative mode, so the shutter speed was mostly 1/240.

Let me know if there is something else you were looking for.

Thanks!
Colin

BTW, I wish I knew an editor that could help out with some fashion editing work!

cheers
