I got two of those for my DSLR, thinking about RED.
I am testing them with built 15 (4k 24fps, and it says :
"The CF card has not been Speed Verified for use on this camera."

Am I doing something wrong? The Sandisk extreme IV 8G is 40 mb, it should work.

I just bought the exact same thing. I haven't had the chance to test it yet as I expect my camera by the end of the week. Let me know how things work out.

Jamie the Sandisk Extreme II falls under 20mb transfer rate;
I think that you need at least 30mb sustained.
Cheers

Albert, I gave it a shot on set, wondering what would happen. Seems RED took that into consideration and I got the same warning you did. Worth a shot, right? :)

Is it "locked" due not being recognized by the Red ?
Does Red need to "know" the brand in order to record.
It would be great to have simple speed test utility embedded in the next firmware.
