Samurai Recent Firmware Update and Scarlet

I recently purchased a brand new samurai and upgraded the firmware which included red file names. I also have a hyperdeck shuttle but I needed something that could handle overlapping timecode for multiple day shoots. So once I heard about the firmware update I was sold. However, first there is an slightly different file extension in the files. Instead of _001 its _T001 so you need to batch re filename, which is not too big of a problem. However, when you magnify on the scarlet, it triggers recording! I have 3-4 clips for one Red clip, if those 3-4 clips happen to show up in the edit and I do a batch rename, I will have 3 files with the same exact name, which can't be in the same folder, its a mess. I have a shoot today and am going back to the hyper deck. Waiting on Atomos to let me know whats going on

It does not trigger recording on firmware 3.3.15.

UPDATE: make sure you have turned off "rollling timecode" on the samurai or the magnify button will trigger record.
