Hey, has anyone got a hold of these new 35mm T1.3 Illuminas out of Russia that are supposed to be available this fall? They're supposed to cover 18-85 range.

They sound amazing on paper and seem affordable compared to used Zeiss glass, anyone had a chance to shoot with them yet -- how do they compare to Zeiss super-speeds, RPP's or Cooke S4's? size, weight, sharpness, contrast, etc....

Thanks a lot,
Pieter.

I should have them for eval in a few weeks.

Mark when the lenses come across your desk, would you be able to provide any early comments, opinions, and/or screenshots on the new glass?

Hey Mark, have you had a chance to eval these lenses yet? Or has anybody for that matter?

Luma tech Inc. is having an open house December 11, 2009 in Miami, FL with the T1.3 Illuminas primes on display.

Miami FL? I know they are flying people there but I think Hollywood would have made more sense.
