Russell is an Icon in the fashion still world.. I have had the pleasure to spend some time with him over the last couple months and the man, and his work , have been truly inspiring.

He just finished shooting Victoria Secret last week at Pier 59.... Can't wait for you guys to see what they have done. They are field testing the EPIC Canon mount and making some truly incredible images.

From Russell :

"I had a rare perfect end of week and needed to share. Got my first hands-on experience with the Red Epic fitted with a lens adapter that allows me to use some of my favorite lenses!! I am in heaven!!! .... The RED camera continues to change the game in our world of photography meets film meets multi-media. "

For those that haven't seen this thread yet, Russell shot this a few weeks back on EPIC that was just released http://reduser.net/forum/showthread.php?60688-Russell-James-Lais-Ribero-Victoria-s-Secret

Jarred what is your take on the current progress and development of the Canon mount?

For those on Facebook - you should follow Russel on there. He shares a lot of his work - and enthusiasm for the Epic ;-)

Miranda Kerr holding an EPIC.... You have made me twice the jealous man Russell. Nice.

Looks pretty nice...

But I'm looking forward to get my Leica R lenses with Novoflex LR to Canon EOS adaptor.

Nothing against Canon L or new Nikorr glass but it can't beat optically and with image quality of (old) Leica R glass (also it can't compare with newest Leica M and Leica S glass).

But best world photographers know that very well and I don't need always to be loud about it here.

Hey Jarred, on my still shoots I'm always shooting tethered to a computer. We're reviewing images in Capture 1 Pro as they come in, which is critical for being able to judge lighting, contrast and the ability to zoom in to 100% for styling/props/focus. I often have art directors checking gestures and body language on talent as the shots come in so we know when we've got "it." What would a similar Epic Stills workflow be like? I can't imagine that the Victoria's Secret art directors aren't monitoring some sort of real time feed....???

Thanks!
CB

Production Titanium mounts should start shipping in early late August / early September.

Great stuff Jarred, thanks for posting. Big fan of Russell's and definitely want to see anything he does with the Epic (that is allowed to be shared, of course). Keep it comin' ....
