Dear fellow redusers,

Please support my effort to raise funds for youth fitness by sponsoring me in the 2011 NYC Half-Marathon. I must be crazy cause I am not in the best shape but this has been a very inspiring mission and I know I can do it. I am training every day and determined to see this through!

Tonight is my last night and I am only 200 dollars away from my goal. I have never done anything like this but its been a wild journey and I have been overwhelmed by the support from friends and family...and yes, redusers, many of which who have become friends and family. ;)

Any donation are MUCh appreciated and of course all contributions are tax deductible. A safe and secure contribution can be made HERE

I assure you I this is not a scam and for the modders...sorry if this is not allowed...feel free to delete if I am breaking rules, its just for a good cause.

See you at the finish line, I will have a RED logo on my back!

Jeffrey! THank you so much. I imagine running the canyons in LA must have been quite majestic. I want to thank all redusers who contributed and or supported me along the way...I reached my goal thanks to you kind folks, I can not express how appreciated I am. Best

Clay

Update.

I set out to raise money to be sponsored to run in the 2011 NYC half marathon, and my mission was to complete the race. ‎13 miles @ a 10min 30sec mile average brings me across the finish line in 2 hours and 18min. Mission Accomplished! Here is a map of the course tracked by my phone,
I had planned to finish in two and a half hours so I feel good about the time. It was a great run and thankfully we had great weather as well. This was my 1st half marathon and longest distance for me so I mainly wanted to find a comfortable pace and cross the finish line without injuring myself. I highly recommend this event!

This was all made possible by friends, family, and redusers who helped sponsor me in the 2011 NYCHalf Marathon, so thank you!!! I am very grateful... we raised more than $325,000 in support of New York Road Runners’ youth programs—funds that will allow us to serve more than 8,100 children from low-income communities in the year ahead. What an incredible and humbling experience, my 1st and certainly not last. Cheers! :cheers2:

Great Clay!!!

Also I'm running so often in my favorite place Belvedere Gardens and Botanical Garden at very close neigh-borough in Vienna.

Pretty quite place and always fresh air guaranteed in a comparison to run at the city center route...
