Hey guys. We shot this timelapse short on Epic, Scarlet and 5DIII.
We shot it for ESPN's broadcast of the 2013 US Open over a span of two weeks.
Hope you all enjoy it!!

Fantastic work!! Couple of questions:

1) What motorized setup you guys using?
2) What lens you useing for the extreme wides?

LOOKS GREAT!!

Best timelapses of NY I've seen... well done sir.

Thanks Nick!
We are using 3 different motorized setups. The Kessler Crane CineDrive, the Dynamic Perception Stage Zero Slider, and the Lil-Mule Dolly.
The lenses that we use for the extreme wides are either on the 17mm TS-E Canon on the Epic. The other wides are shot on the 8-15mm Canon Fisheye on the 5DIII and processed through Panolapse.
Have you used panolapse? Check their demo out. Its rad!

Awesome. That Stage Zero slider looks cool. How'd it hold up with the Epic?

Any reason you favored the 17 TSE over say the Duclos/Tokina 11-16? Just curious. Where you guys TSing at times?

The stage zero can have a slight vibration at certain speeds because of the weight but as long as you have the right support in place, its totally smooth. It does get a bit rough the higher up you aim with the weight factor though. Still one of our favorite pieces of gear. We beat the sh!t out of them.

We werent using the 17 to create the miniature effect that you often see in TS timelapse. We were using it to correct perspective of certain buildings. We actually have a Tokina 11-16 but ours seems to get soft at the edges.

Amazing stuff!! Thanks for sharing
