Sorry for the noob question, but here is my scenario. I have a Scarlet MX with the WC PL mount. I also own a RED Pro Zoom 18-85. Until recently, I had been mounting it without support and just using it only in a studio setting. (It is so big that there really is no other other way to use it.) I bought the new Tilta support for it, just released. (Not sure they don't know it isn't made any more.) 200 bucks, and it comes with the bridge plate for 19mm rods. Not as slick as the OptiTek collar but a lot cheaper. Here is the question. How much upward pressure do I put on the support unit to properly support the lens? In a test, zoomed in at 85mm, at 1k, I can see the image moving up and down with the slightest adjustment of the height knob on the lens support. How do I know what is right?
