RPP`s - screw in ND filters

Is there an opinion on what is considered good screw in ND filters?

Looking at mid to high end options for use in Red Pro Primes.

Someone told me they were using a screw in variable ND filters with their RPPs. Oh well.

Is the only option a clip on mattebox?

Looking for lightweight.

I just opened up our RPPs. Only 2nd time ever opening the case 8)
It looks to me like there is a thread on the inside lip of the lens. You are saying this cant take a screw in filter?

RPP's do have a front thread. It's 105mm.

I had Schneider make me a set for my stereo rig. 105mm thread size. Two ND .9's and a set of UV's... wasn't cheap but great quality.
