  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Round-tripping with Redcine-X Pro and Premiere Pro CS6

Wes, that's good to know. So to confirm. You are able to make a color grade in RCX, then export via "send FCP XML to Premier" option? In premier, you can actually see you timeline edits and continue work?

Hey Will,

Are you sre that there isn't a sequence in the Project Window in Premiere? Redcine exports FCP XML files that should work fine in PR? They have for me?
Maybe try again and let me know if you're seeing offline files in PR? Or any other relevant info? This should be working fine.

Wes

This it probly the most retarded question ever but. WHere do I do that? I couldn't find a save grade.

Bryan,

No retarded questions if you are trying to learn something new.

Two ways....

You right click the clips individually in your timeline in RCX. Then "Save RMD" at the top. Or do what Cory said.

With the clip open in the viewer, click the gear in the top right corner, save rmd.

Yup - no problemo. Works like a charm.

I tested RedCineX 15 on Mac yesterday. Make sure to open the folder once you open the XML in PR and you should see a sequence and clips.

I kept trying to open the folder with Pr, for it to work, the XML has to be "imported." I assume this is what your doing?

Also, tech support question. I know you are lurking here on the forum and we appreciate you being around. What about a phone support option. The Adobe tech support is in the Philippines, and those guys are terrible at what they do for the most part. Is there anyone, like you, in the US we can call to sort issues out?

Thanks.

Yup, The XML has to be imported (similar to how you import projects or media)

Not sure about the tech support. I believe we have a couple different tiers.

As a company, we've made a concerted effort to be more active in the forums and we do listen to our customers.

I've spent many nights and weekends helping customers with issues...but nope, I'm not giving my number out :) at least not over the forum!!

I will continue to monitor the forums and PM's or e-mails are always welcome :)

what's your e-mail Wes?
