Rotate EVF port on 5" Touch Screen?

Hi,

Wondering if it is possible to rotate the port for the cable in the 5" touch screen?

Want to be able to close the screen on top of the epic with the cable attached.
(From the blue line to the red line on the attachment)

My hope is that it is possible to loosen the port and twist it

I don't believe you can. I've just got in the habit of disconnecting main cables for transport as accidents can happen.

As Bob said, I always disconnect cables for transport (even if I keep the camera otherwise assembled). Basically anything that isn't bolted down.

I always thought the body evf/lcd port should have been on the bottom/front of the SSD module and always pointing up (with the buttons moved to the side)... That way they'd only need to make right-to-right cables and it'd always be tucked out of the way. The way it is now, a right-end points the cable into the camera (over the lens mount) and you have to bend/backtrack with the cable to get the display/evf on the operator's side... Poor design, sure, but not *that* bad.

The way I keep it in my Pelicase would not stress the cable, the design isn't very bad no, but would be nice to be able to change the angle on the cable or the port.
