RONIN 2 - SCARLET-X (CTRL) Cable for start/stop recording?

Dear Ronin 2 Users, have you been able to successfully connect the CTRL start/stop cable to Ronin and trigger recording ON/OFF from Ronin 2 remote control? I see to see the Scarlet freezes and i have to power down and up to start using it, but the CTRL never works.. any thoughts ideas is appreciated.

Ronin 2 comes with a bunch of cables. One of them is the control cable for RED camera record start/stop function.

Make sure you have the latest firmware on your Scarlet. Enable the control protocol in your Scarlet menu. Then connect the cable in camera side to the control port (do NOT connect to the Sync port). The other end to the RSS port on your Ronin (Accessory Power) brake-out box.

got it, thanks @neil, i did what you said and also had to change CTRL PROTOCOL to "Camera to Camera" and then enable RCP. Now it works.
