  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Roland R-88 got a *massive* price drop! (fierce F8 competition?)

look if the sound quality is good enough for u, it is not for me... but maybe tell that the producers/director and they will set u straight very fast that they want the very best in quality

They also want the shoot done on time and within budget.

they don't shoot 70mm because it is more convenient, they hassle with that for one reason only: quality

The vast vast VAST majority of films are *not* shot on 70mm film.

I'm very doubtful the average director will be able to tell the difference between a 688 and a F8 in a blind test:

sure thing..... and why would a SD or Tascam do that ? Never has for all of my shoots......

matter of fact considering Zoom's history, chances are much much higher using a Zoom...

they are not shot on 70mm because they can't afford it... with the Mixpre series that is not an problem - same price range as the field recorders u prefer...
