  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Rokinon/Samyang 24mm T1.5 worth it's price?

I have the 24, 35 and 85 Cine Rokinons. They are all rediculously soft wide open and the iris tends to get stuck some times. But still for the price i would say they are worth it and they all work very well on the Scarlet. Also i think it's nice to not be afraid of breaking your glass

I have the 24,35 and 85 and for he price they are great. The 24is the worst of the bunch. Never had a problem with the iris on mine though. I just shot with them last week and I had to pull out the 24 for a shot. It was day exterior so I shot around 5.6 and it looked great.

My 24 f1.4 (non cine version) looks effing great wide open. Maybe there are some poor ones out there, but mine ROCKS.

It's a Rokinon. Very early batch. Like first batch ever made.

You Sir are one lucky guy. Could you post some sample pics? Everywhere I read shows just how soft it is. Even the one I tested seemed a bit soft next to the 35 and 85.

Tested my new Cine 24mm on a MKII.

Wide open it struggles.

Oh well, you get what you paid for.

Enjoying my new Cine 24mm :)

Wishing for a 50mm to complete this set ;)
