Was wondering if anyone has shot 4k with Rokinon glass? Curious to know if they hold up at such a high resolution?

Hi there HildeBrand, let me ask you something, with your Nikon mount rokinon, does the distance scale increase when turned ti the right? 'cause mine does, is that bizarre or is there something I don't know? I have other third party nikon mount lenses and their distance scale increases to the left. What's going on with this Rokinon lens? Did I just paraphrase what you said? lolI just got the 35mm 1.4 Rokinon today. It is a little sharper at 1.4 then the Nikon 35mm ais at 1.4, no doubt. Nikon seems to have a fair amount of bloom or veiling at 1.4 as well. When contrast is added it's not too bad on the Nikon, but you have to work it. At 2.8 they pretty well even out with sharpness and contrast.
Just did a night test as well at 1.4 and similar veiling on the Nikon. However, sometimes it can look good, and when you pull focus on the Nikon those night lights have a beautiful Bokeh ring, similar to the 50mm 1.4 Nikon and the 85mm 1.4 Nikon (two of my favorites on the Red One and Epic). The Rokinon is okay in the Bokeh dept, but not as nice.
The big issue I have with the Rokinon is when you pull focus - the end focus mark does not end up being in the same place if you are pulling one direction as opposed to the other. This is more prominent at about the 6' mark. Not as bad further away. Something's weird with the mechanics. It's almost like a strange buffer. On the Nikon, it's a no brainer - bang on in both directions. I don't know if this copy is problematic and others are better, but this and the bokeh may be deal breakers for me. I was hoping to be blown away, but I think I may be sending this lens back. I have to sleep on it.
