Roger Deakins' site shut down

If this person made threats of harm or violence to Mr. Deakins, and he has credible knowledge of his daily routine, I think the police will be the ones to weed this guy out. This may be the reason for the site being shut down. So that the police can investigate and track down this person.

Rest assured, this guy will be in serious trouble when they track him down. Anonymity only carries you so far. If he has made serious threats via emails or even the forum this will not be taken lightly by the authorities and most likely could land him in some legal trouble.

But aside from that, I'm disappointed that I was not really aware of this site and the information Roger was posting up there. That's too bad. Hopefully it comes back once this all gets settled.

I find it very unfortunate that people would stoop to these levels, but I suppose mental illness does play a part in it and hopefully no one gets harmed. A crazy world we live in.

Michael, I agree with you 100% that some folks are not responsible for their instability in that it can quite often come from chemical imbalance or environmental stress at an early developing age etc. But, once this is the fact then that person is not always capable of knowing right actions from wrong actions. While we can empathize with the sufferer, does that mean we would let them go out with our daughters? No, I think we need to use some judgement of the possible safety issues involved when dealing with the poor unfortunates who sometimes cannot control themselves and act with impropriety regarding other people and how they impact their/our lives.

So, while I agree with your sentiments regarding the fact that many who are afflicted with sociopathic tendencies are innocent of the cause, I still think we need to use sense in controlling them.

I guess what I am saying is that there is a fine line between feeling for their suffering and letting them affect us in a negative way without doing something about it.
