RIP Alan Calzatti

My cinematography mentor passed away a couple of days ago. He was an amazing man who taught me a great deal of what I know. He was the person that introduced me to Red about six years ago. He taught me the learning process never ends. I would never be anywhere close to where I am today if I had never met him. He has always been a huge inspiration to me and I will forever hold a place in my heart for him. Here is a still image from Heima he created that I always loved. Rest in peace Alan you will be missed. Thank you for everything.

I am Beyond Saddened by this very unfortunate news..!

Alan had to be one of the radest doods in the industry I ever met...last communication I had with him I knew something was wrong but he didn't want to talk about it. If someone has more details please DM me..!

I'm heading down for CineGear and was really hoping to connect with him but haven't really heard from him in awhile...
