Hi

We have a right-angle BNC connector on are dragon and it is causing us some problems, as it's not 100% reliable.

I was wondring if you guys have have any ideas about where to get a good reliable one from?

also which one are you using and are you having problems whit it?

Thank you

Dan

You're in the UK - they're cheap enough to get a few from the usual suspects like Maplin, or if you want to go less "consumer" you can try RS Components, CPC, Farnell or Canford, but I've used Maplin ones in the past without problems too.

Make sure they are specified as 75 ohm impedance as that's what HD-SDI signals ideally see, as you can get BNCs which are 50 ohms which may cause issues for longer cable runs.

The trick is strain relief - I always tie off the cable with a reusable tie-wrap, or loop the cable around a cage or rods, to save damage to the BNC connector on the camera body. This also protects the right angle BNC.
