  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Rhino v2 Slider + Motion Control?

I just picked up the motion control add-on and haven't had a chance to put it to real-world use yet, but it is a lot, lot better than sliding by hand. A lot better. It's very precise when using it "manually" -- turning the MC knob left and right, and adjust the speed of the slide.

The MC totally smooths out the entire operation and gives you amazing control that you won't get otherwise. It is an extra $600, though.

As far as the v2 slider, it's very well made and designed, and rugged. My only issue with the product was that when I first tried it out there was a slight "bump" when shuttling the head past the center of the slider -- which freaked my out a bit because I couldn't get a totally clean slide. But I bought the flywheel and that resolved the issue; you really can't use the slider without it.
