My Epic is about a month old now and I've held off upgrading the firmware to the new RG3.0 release having read a number of users with issues (bad audio and general camera problems), and so I ask, is it safe?

It's my first time to do such a thing and I'm always curious how many errors were user based vs. real bugs in the system. As a car dealer says, you always hear from the few folks with a problem but never the hundreds who were happy. So, in that vein, are most people happy with the new release?

And if there is a problem, what's the process with rolling back to the factory default?

Thanks for guiding a long time shooter, new red owner!

Glen,

Upgrade with confidence. I too was leery about the upgrade because of stuff I read. I thought I'd give it a try and went for it. Just shot a music video over the weekend in a pretty grueling environment and the camera performed flawlessly.
