Now that cooke is licensing their /I tech and its starting to make it into sigma lenses among others, I assume it must be somehow possible to map 4 pins in the Komodo to speak /I or have a cable that routes out from the mount to pass the data like the new EF mount on Arri.
The updated high speed FF sigma primes with /I are super appealing, but I'm still leaning towards the older CN-E primes just because easy metadata will make my life easier.
It's a shame ambient killed the masterlockitplus, I imagine global shutter along with all the lens metadata from CP.3 primes along with the potential Komodo gyro data would be an SFX artists wet dream.
The extended data like XD and LDS might be harder cause I'm sure they are proprietary tho at least Zeiss seemingly worked with ambient so it could be doable, but the basic FIZ data from the standard 4 /I pins would be soooooo convenient. All the better if someone houses the C70 speed booster lens into the same mount somehow
(I'd assume/hope they have a PL version of that coming as is).
Anyway, TL;DR, could Komodo ever talk /I?
