Dear all,
I have recently completed a short film shoot on Red (we shot 4k) and am now in possession of a hard drive holding the raw footage, the QuickTime proxies and the footage transcoded into Avid files.
I know this is a very basic question but I personally have very little technical knowledge in this area and all I want to do is view the footage in the expedient way possible. I don’t need to colour grade or anything like that, just view the takes so I can do some spotting and create a small set of scenes to use as a package when recruiting post-production staff. I do not mind about the quality of the footage at this stage.
So, if someone can tell me the easiest way to do this I would be most grateful.
For info: I am using a PC to view the files and have so far done this with Redcine X, but it takes a while to load footage and can be a little glitchy on my system.
Thanks in advance for any help you guys and gals can give
Tom
P.S. Also, any suggestions on an easy way to review footage with sound synced would also be appreciated!
