One of the most useful an well integrated accessories I owned for the Red One was the ET EVF mount, it was robust had 3 points of articulation on 2 axis and was easily configurable for both studio, location and hand held shooting. It could also be removed with only one very low profile piece remaining on the camera, critical for steadi-cam and remote head operation.
Enter the Epic and Bomb EVF, smaller, faster and more powerful and all of a sudden the original ET EVF mount. Although still functional it seemed to dwarf the Epic and Bomb, it's proportions we're just designed around a larger camera and heavier, longer EVF. It is adaptable to the Epic (I used it on a few TV shows and music videos) but it eventually just became too cumbersome and I opted for a different solution.

Enter the new ET Mini clutch EVF mount...

Finally an Epic sized EVF mount with all the awesome quality and adjustability of the original. The Mini Clutch forgoes the original 2 rail design and mates the friction adjustable clutch directly to the Bomb. This makes for a real compact mount that still maintains the "grab-n-go" simplicity of the original. Although it's available with the original 19mm/8" rail I chose the new 15mm/6" rail to further embrace the lightweight ethos of the Epic, the 6" rail is plenty long enough to facilitate both hand held and most tripod mounted operating. I attached the 15mm clamp directly to the Red handle and modified a Zacuto receiver to make it even more configurable but it just as easily mounts directly to the top of any cheese plate or even the body it's self.

And for studio you can just add the original EVF extension, which is currently on sale!

Finally I also have one of Switronix Jet-packs that I've been using, coupled with a View Factor stealth plate and Shuttle (you can buy a similar V mount from Red) this offers a pretty ideal on-board power solution that can simultaneously charge the Redmote and power accessories, mine currently has the OG Red 4 pin lemos but I'll be having these switched to 3x 3 pin 12V lemos since I use rental house gear with mostly Arri standard AKS. I believe there is also a back-up battery version coming soon too!

Thanks for this Evin. How's the weight of the jetpack over a simple Swit dtap plate? I need to power camera, BM Shuttle2 and a Tvlogic from V batts and I'm looking for the most versatile way through that - light enough for a day's handheld but with expandability for further accs down the road. Is the jetpack my best bet?

It's not much heavier than the standard plate, seems like the best bang for your buck in AKS power currently. When I do hand held I run a plate out 8" back on rods to bring the center of gravity back onto my shoulder.

Hey Evan,

Are you using the Zacuto mount on top for your Red LCD? I'm trying to figure out if that would work for me... I currently attach the LCD to the handle where you've attached the ET mount...

Thanks.
