I have some footage that was accidently shot at Varispeed, and I was wondering if there is a quick and easy way to reverse the process?
We loaded in the Footage and they wont sync to the sound(recorded separately)

Shooting Specs:
4KHD 23.98(varispeed) REC28
Sound (23.98 48Khz 16 bit)

Post Specs:
L&T 23.98 PRORES 422(HQ)

Thanks!!!

what do you mean by reverse the process?

You can take out extra frames in the edit process.

I was just wondering if its possible to do a process to get this footage to run at a non varicam rate, so the sound will sync?

Removing the frames in the edit process? there are no duplicate frames in the clip. how would this be done?

Thanks

There's no way to set varispeed to 23.98 so I'm assuming it was set to 24.00 and you're facing a 24.00->23.98 speed change?

Best bet at this stage may be to warp any sync sound rather than try to change the vision.

If you want 24fps and shot 50fps you could take out 26 frames each second...
easy...not really.. I guess I don't understand the sound take you are trying to sync...It would certainly not work with any dialogue....talk about a lip sync nightmare!!
