  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Resolve Lite 10 is not limited to HD resolution any longer.

Isn't UHD is 3840 and 4k is 4096 horizontally speaking?

Yes. I was trying to point out (apparently unsuccessfully....) that what they've enabled in Lite is the ability to do HD and lower with no custom render size restrictions, and UHD - and ONLY UHD - as a "4K" (note the parentheses) deliverable. That would seem to be included specifically to service television work that might be done in that format on both the front and back end, but to have the full Resolve still be the system of choice for feature work, which requires multiple deliverables in multiple formats that don't always conform to television standards.

Yes, the 4K vs QuadHD vs UHD nomenclature strikes again. Same as in Full HD vs HD. The confusion continues to rain, thanks to the TV manufacturers:-)

The name of the thread and the post clearly says that I'm talking about Resolve Lite.
Your thread is about paid version of Resolve.

Yes, sorry about that, EDITED original reply, I just read too fast some time, ok most of the time, and missed the "Lite" part... ;)

Link death

Link death

Jake link is dead .....but great news anyway!

The link works for me too. It might have something to do with the monitoring portion added to the forum software, that uses an api system to redirect to the link address. I was thinking of using the same software reduser does, because a number of boards I'm on use it, and I like it, but had to give up on the idea, as potential users were against any potential monitoring aspect spying on them.

I have a couple of the dongles. oh well.

does the lite version NOT include Noise Reduction and multiple GPUs? unlike the full version
