hi there,
i would like to show you our version of the videogame adaptation of Resident Evil. I am not happy with Andersons Movies at all and 3 years ago we (me and a few filmstudents) to make RE on our own. First i planned to shoot a trailer - how should RE be - anamorphic (LA 7200) on a hacked GH1 and a voigtländer F0.95 25mm (full frame 50mm) then one of our pals, who worked at this time in camerarental, asked me, why not shooting on the RED ONE. of course we desided to shoot it on the RED then.

So i am very curious what YOU are going to say about our scenes. We shot 3 scenes (including the Mansionscene-beginning) and 2 trailers including footage, not being in the scenes.
if you dislike the Andersons Movies you maybe will like our scenes. if you are fine with Andersons Movies and dont like ours - please let me know, what you dislike.
any critique is gladly seen by me, because it can push you forward :)

As a total Resident Evil fan boy, I cannot wait to watch this when I am off set later! Will def give you feedback!

Hi!

Thanks for showing :) Having played all Resident Evils and not being a big fan of Anderson's versions, I must say that you guys captured the mood (from lightning, make-up, actors etc) from the games. Well done!
Having said that, I think most of the cuts are too long. Maybe you want it slow-paced like the games are but as a movie I don't think it works that well. I will definitely follow this one, but mostly because you really made me re-live the games again in a different perspective :)

Cheers!

Really well done! I thought it was very authentic to the original video game/reboot of the game. Lighting, colors, props, acting was spot on! The audio is also wayyy better then the games was lol!

But I thought it was a really well done fan fiction piece overall. My hats off to you

thank you for your comments! indeed we wanted it slow-paced. not action oriented, but horrorsurvival. if we had more money and the rights from capcom, we could make a (i think) real cool web-serial. camera-angle like in the game and nightmarish ambience.
