For some reason my Red Epic w, the display was showing poor picture quality. I didn't do anything abnormal to it but the display had dancing pixels and basically looked like I was pushing the iso to the limit in a dark scene. Just really bad. I had the iso at 800 and everything else normal. Still bad picture. I restarted and same issue. I reset the settings and everything looks back to normal. So my question is this, do some of you run into this where you need to reset the camera due to poor quality on the display?

What kind of monitor are you using? The touch screen or an external out of the SDI or HDMI? I had my camera look horrible on my external SmallHD monitor until I figured out how to set the output IPP2 work flow to the monitor. I tried like you just about everything and reset the camera only to discover I needed to do some reading on the out put settings to get the monitor to get the signal I wanted.

Aaron, no to all your questions.

I am using the DSMC2 7" monitor

Are you using Off Brand Cables? Do you have a backup Cable to test your monitor? I've seen my monitor go a little crazy with off brand - Alvin's cables or Wooden Camera Cables.

Nope directly connected to the body.

i had a problem where last week suddenly there was a lot of "snow" on my 7" Epic W monitor and it was cured by cleaning the pogo connectors. First I tried re-booting with no help, then tried the monitor on another camera with the same glitches. Finally, I rubbed the contacts with a dry cloth and the problem seemed to disappear. Not sure if that was the cure, but have not seen it since.
