  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Replacing the LCD in a RED 5.6" LCD

don't think so..

don't think so..

I would have loved this to work...
I've replaced a few and don't think this is the one. Anyway- this is a stock item and Red had theirs custom modified to improve brightness AFAIK. Just from the looks I don't think it looks the same- the ribbon is different and in a wrong place.
I'll check the part number...

Thanks!

I'll send someone your info regarding such a service.

Hy, I need to replace the panel, too...

Any contact information?

As a friendly reminder, the only RED-authorized repair centers are RED itself, Sim Video, and OffHollywood....

I have a brand new 5.6" LCD Screen that was purchase from Red for I believe about $ 850. it is still here since I have not used it. It has a sticker on it that says "Vertex LCD Inc." Make an offer.

Our 5.6" has some bruising on the screen too. Been weary to get it fixed cause I assume you gotta replace the lcd and I figure that'd cost alot more than its worth to deal with the dark spot on the image.

Any of you guys got yours replaced? Whats the $$$ ball park?
