  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Repair an r3D challenge!

stalling out

stalling out

I'm starting to stall out, I only gained another 5 frames. It is very painful to edit in hex mode where a frame == 50+ pages of binary/byte code.

I cannot continue anymore, at least not for a while. Here is the file with only about 20frames(2.21GB), it's not pretty at all(very ugly, seriously.). I just don't have the right tools, I tried my best, maybe you can run RedUndead on the bigger file since it's no longer Offline in RedcineX? RED EU can work some more magic on it? http://www.dcrin3.com/R3dRecovered/Recovered.zip

I have had the meta data corrupt be-fore now and segmented R3D's not play. We fixed it by removing all segments bar one, only leaving one in the directory which would play, just swap out the segment just fixed the replacememt would then become accessible. it seemed to be something to do with the medatata being incorrectly written and not seeing the next segment in the sequence. We just exported the segment to a new file to create new media and left the origionals in the archive.

please elaborate your idea. I did some swapping of my own, some successful, some failed.

Kalulu you total legend... It's looking like however you look at it it's a complex and painstaking process, should enough consecutive frames be recoverable at all.. Thanks so much for trying, great to see even a glimmer of material I assumed was lost forever. Brings a tear to the eye, it does ;)
