Render Farming for RED Alert/ CLipfinder ?

Hi Guys,

im currently doing all my batch rendering on my Macbook with clipfinder.

I have another MAC and two more PC's in my house and was wondering if there is a way to use them all as rendering support without being a crazy UNIX IT master ? Like setting up a mini rendering farm with both Macs and PCs ?

If you read Clipfinder's Help, it has a Poor Man's Distributed Render, which you will need Gigabit ethernet to take advantage of.

thanks for this great post This is a dumb question, but does anyone have a picture of the Red drive power adapter? I've been using bus power, but I recently read that using the power adapter is better. I have a bunch of adapters, but I'm trying to figure out which ones are for the Red drives

If you're willing to spend money I can't recommend Deadline highly enough. And it has redalert support now.
