I am running into an issue, that probably is on another thread that I can't find. When I drive/card has been formatted to an incorrect Roll #, is there any way to rename the files and folders? I have tried renaming (changing the Camera Letter and Roll #) the R3D files manually (no go - I believe the proxies contain the original filename in their metadata). Is it possible to rename the R3Ds and then create new proxies? I don't want to experiment now, as I am on a gig.

you can always regenerate the proxies with RedAlert

the problem will occur in the metadata aswell...

so the only solution is to rename the roll folder to "roll x as y" and put the correct metadata in your editing software.
rolls with the same number will still be unique because of their random numbers in each name.

i had the "problem" myself: looks like hell at first sight but should turn out fine later on :)
