Does anyone have any info on removing the black cone at the rear of the 18mm Red prime. I want to test it on an Alexa and it doesn't fit - I read that removing the black cone at the rear remedies this. Does anyone have any information on which black cone and how to do this? Any info appreciated.

Thanks all.

J.

I don't mean to be rude but I'm thinking; If you have to ask, you shouldn't touch it.

It unscrews from the mount.
It is glued on so you may have to remove the PL mount and put some solvent or heat it up to soften the glue.
hope this helps...

It's an easy thing to do... take it to a good lens technician. I was lucky, mine was not glued in place and unscrewed without much trouble. Fits on the Alexa without issue.
