Read about this Xto7-Tool on dxvuser an thought I would share. This tool does not only allow you to open FCPX-projects in FCP7 but can also be used to relink a FCPX-project with QT-Files with the original R3D-Files in RCX. Just tested that with a small FCPX-project (four cuts) and it worked fine. Xto7 conformed the FCPXML to a XML which I could open without any problems in RCX. I did not test it with a more complicated project, but at least it proofs that you aren't stuck in FCPX if you wish to use it with ProRes-Files created from R3Ds...
