Beta REDCINE (v3.1.5) has been released for Windows XP. The OSX version is not currently ready for beta release but it will be posted as soon as it is.

New Features and Fixes since last release (v3.1.2):

NEW FEATURES:
* Added support for embedded R3D audio. NOTE: Audio can be activated/deactivated using the AUDIO button to the right of the mini-timeline.

FIXES:
* Guides are now properly rendered into output images
* Updated R3D decoders
* Updated curve interpolation
* Adjusted how Metadata notes are read

Thanks, BC

Brent you guys really need help with this, RedCine, it’s the largest Joke in the industry

Sweet! Just did an initial test of rendering to quicktime and I have a couple questions. Could you elaborate what the audio support entails? I can hear "slow-mo" audio on playback and when exporting to quicktime there isn't audio with it. Is it only for playback right now? Thanks for your hard work. Much appreciated.

Audio in RedCine...?
Why do I feel the Intel+Adobe camp is going to be celebrating tonite?

We don't get audio into QuicTime files?
Just video and TC tracks.
QT ver 7.4.5

Playback in RedCine works with audio.
Any ideas?

Also noticed that two cores were normally used during export and six cores were almost idle. We have Scultrail and WinXP SP3 here.

slow motion audio playback here, and I can't get any renders out of any quicktime codec that work. all black files and no sound ;(

shot last night and need access to the audio files. looks like cineform, redcine, premiere and after effects still don't have audio? How can I get even a proxy file on the PC with audio so I can start post production today?

Obin - try loading it up on SCRATCH. Make sure you're on 491.

Let me know if you get the "slow audio" on SCRATCH as well.

Just sent you an email ;)

Can I use scratch to transcode from r3d into a dirty offline codec that has audio? and then use that audio in premiere along with the red importer? so I can get synced audio and picture?

Uh, oh... I have Vista (64bit). Just wondering if I should expect Redcine to work with Vista first, or will the finished Adobe plug in likely be released to the public before Redcine Vista?

Brent,

Make sure the developers get a huge thank you from us.

JOB WELL DONE GUYS!!!!

David, is it working for you? can you post your system specs if it is?
