  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Release Date yet?

Nothing yet.. Oct 30. 11:00 AM in NY. Eagerly awaiting news. :)

Remember, RED is based in California… They're still eating breakfast.

I really wish they'd announce it sooner today. Here in Florida (EST) they'd announce this like at 7pm tonight.

I have a night for day shoot today, with a 5pm call time :(

I'm pretty sure we can predict what will happen. More rendered drawings and more vague release dates. Anything short of a real picture of the camera, real footage and a real pre-order date will be a farce. Subject to change blah blah blah...

5 more hours! I own a Canon Mark II and 7D and hopefully a 1D Mark IV soon, which will be incredible in low light. Hopefully one of the Scarlets will be able to come close so I can upgrade to something with no rolling shutter.

So excited!

We should have bought Jim a ticket back to Fiji so he could announce a day earlier.

the Fijians would love it if every international company came to it's country to announce products. I reckon the British would have loved that at the moment, if they had put the date line the other way about, and it would have made the Europe look backwards. ;)

so, I havent been following for a while now. I just tried to forget.. Now, I hear the news is coming today.
So, has it come, if so, where?

No surprises I guess. Time to buy more Canon stock.

'The good news is that the EPIC/Scarlet project is better than ever expected. The images coming out of the new Mysterium-X sensor have exceeded expectations. The flexibility of the modular system has surprised all of us. The system is significantly better now than when it was 1st announced. Now let’s get to it.'

Really Jim? Show us? The whole Scarlet thing has been suspicious for sometime now.

"Scarlet 2/3" 8x Fixed and Scarlet 2/3" Interchangeable- Significantly more features, mild price increase. Full details Nov 30th."

I'm not going to hold my breath anymore. I think I'm finished being strung along by RED.
