Rehoused Cine Sigma Lenses 18-35, 50-100 T2 by Cinematics

Does anyone have an a experience in shooting with this lenses? Which are the pros and cons of this lenses? Does the image looks gorgeous or not?

Watching video reviews, seeing the price and the image quality i really got shocked, as it's can be best intro cine zoom lenses for those who want to make change from still lenses into cine lenses.

I think you'd be crazy to spend $4000 on the cheapest rehouse money can buy, when $8000 will get you the real thing. It may be double the price, but you get a proper cinema lens, with warranty and servicing backed by a big company. That you know you'll be able to get parts for.

Being able to service your lenses means a great deal for keeping them running over the years, and getting the most value from them.

These are just sleeves and not a proper rehousing. Plus they don touch the optics so if its par focal, its because the originals were.

Run for the hills!! If you can't afford the real thing just buy the photo version and slap some lens gears on it. You'll get the same performance as these "rehoused" lenses without the expense of a midway solution.

But I'd recommend you invest in the real Sigma cine lenses for the reasons that Mark and Bob outlined.

...and sticking with photo version you can hedge your bets on the autofocus motor becoming useful.

Maybe the OP isn't aware of the official Sigma Cine Lenses? (Which are of course a much more logical buy than these as others have said!)

It's a bit frustrating that the cine versions still don't stop at infinity, and the 50-100 breathe a bit.
It says the cine version is 6K-8K compatible but my photo versions of the 18-35 both vignette a bit at 6K on the wide end of the lens. Maybe check that out?
I'm stoked with all the Sigma Art primes, def a neutral + sharp foundation for your images!

IMO this high speed S35 zooms ware hit an mis. on the one hand they are relay amazing performance for the price specially taking in consideration that they are T1.8 on the other hands there is way to many small issues and they are lacking just a bit to be a good investment. buying photo lenses for Doc style of shooting or traveling is best value for the dollar out there. Cinema lens on the other hands costs 3x more and still has same issues as the photo plus the weight. I really like GL optic rehousing, more then original Cine. GL lens has 300 degree focus and interchangeable mount so in my book that's ++ only down side to GL is the super short aperture action. i find that its hart to set exposure on such short throw. and BTW that Cinematics "rehousing" looks like a ordinary sleeves
