Refrerence scaled files

Small example...

I have 4K Redcode RAW files on my disk array

but i'm working on a 2k timeline with 2k reference files to finish in 2K

i choose to reframe and scale a clip to 150%

my question is when i send back to redcine to conform the project using the original full resolution files, redcine is able to understand that the scaled clip dosen't need to be scaled down to 2k and than scaled up to 150% but it joust need to be scaled down by 250% to match my edit without loosing any quality?

I hope I've been clear (but I'm not sure) .

Redcine doesn't conform. It simply gives you the frames you need to do a conform.
